Nourish Canada is a dedicated not-for-profit organization committed to alleviating food insecurity across Canada. Our mission is to rescue surplus, high-quality food and redistribute it to those in need, ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious meals. We collaborate with various partners to foster community support and prevent food waste.
We believe that good food has the power to nourish more than bodies.
WHY I STARTED NOURISH CANADA
My family came to Canada from Ukraine with very little. Starting over taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the importance of community. As I grew older, my volunteer work and travels gave me the opportunity to support children and families in different parts of the world. These experiences deepened my understanding of how access to food, education, and basic resources can shape a person’s future.
Years later, after witnessing food insecurity in remote communities and cities across Canada, I founded Nourish Canada to help make nutritious food more accessible while preserving dignity.
Today, our mission is simple but powerful: rescue good food, reduce waste, and help ensure no one goes hungry. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier Canada; one meal, one community, and one act of kindness at a time.
